Two good episodes, and I can’t really add anything to what you wrote, especially about Christine Baranski. I’ve had a fan-crush thing on her since she was on Cybill, and she’s part of the reason I started (and keep) watching.

I suspect Peter knows he’s been very, very bad, and that if he ever expects to really come back, he’s going to have to let Alicia set the pace for now.

Elsbeth is wonderful; I’d have her for my lawyer any time!

The Louis Canning twist is interesting!! It never ends, does it! I wondered if that was his real life wife (Tracy Pollan) playing the role, but it wasn’t. The actress (Susan Misner does have a bit of passing resemblance; see IMDB links below). When I checked that out, I found she’s been on as Canning’s wife before, in a 2011 episode, Real Deal. Seems I should remember that episode; I know I was watching the show by then.

I think that’s the episode where Kalinda shows up at Canning’s house (pretending to be someone else, of course) to try to get some dirt on him, and she meets Simone, who is disarmingly sweet, just like she is in this recent episode.

Seriously, could Diane be any more awesome?!

        That’s ringing a bell.

Am I too cynical? Are they setting her up to be the evil mastermind behind Louis Canning? 🙂

Or maybe she’s just counter-point revealing that Louis really does have a special side.
